World Food Programme (WFP) is the United Nations food aid agency annually providing food assistance to approximately 100 million people around the world. WFP Nordic Office is based in Copenhagen and raises awareness of WFP’s mandate and activities.
WFP Nordic Office is currently looking for 3 interns from Norway, Sweden and Finland respectively. The positions require individuals who are willing and able to take responsibility and work independently as well as in a team with other interns and WFP employees.
Main duties:
Required qualifications:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in university or graduate school and have completed at least two years’ undergraduate studies. Successful candidates should be majoring in Communications, Political Science, Development Studies or other relevant field
- Verbal and written fluency in Swedish, Finnish or Norwegian is a precondition
- Good knowledge in MS Office
- Good command of written and verbal English as the working language is English
Desired qualifications:
- Experience from public information work
- Work experience from an international development organization
- Knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and website management tools
- Experience with project management
WFP can pay an allowance of USD 500 per month. The contracts are issued for an initial 3 months with an expected extension of additional 3 months.
