Internship with the SEI China Cluster

The China Cluster is a program level research group based at SEI Stockholm that harnesses expertise on China’s environmental and developmental challenges across all SEI centres. Our work is situated in a broad social and ecological context, and focuses on China’s transitional challenge towards a sustainable future.

We are currently looking for an intern to join us from August to December 2009. You would be with us on a full-time basis, and be working from our Stockholm Office.
As an intern with the China Cluster, you will be performing various research assisting tasks, ranging from background research, to external communication, independent article writing and administrative duties. You will also gain good insight into the SEI organization, and be given the opportunity to attend relevant conferences and seminars.
We are looking for an independently working person who is at the end of his/her (under)graduate education. You do not necessarily have to be specialized on China, but it is important that you are genuinely interested in the country and its contemporary development. You do not need to speak either Chinese or Swedish; more importantly is that your written English is of high academic standard, and that you are used to and comfortable with working independently.
